Maybe thats why RE try to reject small warranty claims? If owners did persist they wouldn't be able to ignore them AND they'd have to improve build quality / quality control. If they now offer 3 years warranty on the new Meteor it is pointless if they aren't going to honour it.
While I appreciate your piont of view that its easy for you to fix it, if they're relucant to stand by their warranty it would REALLY p#ss me off & make me determined to get the claim accepted and to publicize their reluctance as widely as possible. You turning the other cheek might be the easy option but this is a rich global company trying to renegade on their legal obligation to their customers.
