When I was out on the H2 today I decided not to fuel up at a station near home, but rather to fuel up at one about 20 miles away where I was heading, as luck would have it said station was closed due to a power cut.
Nearest fuel station is now 20 miles away, never mind I thought - I'll make it easy.
Within about 5 miles I went onto reserve after about 10 miles or so I was having a "sixpence / halfcrown" session as the bike started to splutter a few times and I know the reserve does not take you very far.
On every downhill section I was coasting in neutral - so releived to make it to a fuel station without running out, celebrated by buying myself an ice cold sparkling vimto after filling the tank
Starting to think I am getting to old for all this sh*t but then again perhaps not.
