I don't know how you and Maz manage to get so much attention. About a fortnight ago I had a text from the surgery inviting me to make an appointment for a Shingles jab. My health centre (with 6 doctors) has been locked since the start of Covid with a notice on the door...'Admission only for pre-booked appointments' It took me 4 days and about 15 calls before I was able to get through. I just got: "We are very busy at the moment. Pleae hold. ......You are 12th (14th, 9th, 19th etc) in a queue".
I'm 76, I don't take any meds and have been registered for 37 years at the same practice in which time I've probably only seen a doc about 10 times in total and always for self-inflicted injuries so I'm no hypochondriac; suspected poisoning from dodgy wild-gathered mushroom soup, poss fractured thumb from bashing a hedgehog access hole in my garden wall, hepatitis from eating dodgy seafood in Algeria, infected cut from an angle grinder and again from a dog bite.....that sort of stuff. I guess you might say I'm lucky.
