I'm wondering just how much "sealing" that low-pressure, low powered exhaust needs. Our BSA twin exhaust headers, for example, just slide into the exhaust port on the head and aren't even screwed in or held with flanges - they're just "triangulated" in place by (depending on the model) a crossover tube, a flat crossover brace, or a high-pipe brace. Otherwise, they're just "loose" in the head and work fine as long as the head isn't "wallowed out" by an improperly fitted pipe.
I think what you've got there will work just fine. It's not going anywhere .... !
