I was watching the latest Nathan the post bike man on Youtube and his brand new 2021 Himmy broke down in the video leaving him stranded. Who needs that. Probably duff relays. How could you trust one on a real adventure?
Andy, it might be worth checking the latest dangerous Himmy fault on your bike. The front brake hydraulic hose work hardens and causes a situation where you put the brake on and it doesn't release! Fix is to replace the hose and remove the silly rubber grommets that hold the hose in place (not fitted on 2021 bikes).
By comparison my CB500x is amazing. Chap on the CB500x forum has a 2013 one with 135K miles on it (he is a courier) and the valves have never needed adjustment. He has just changed the spark plugs for the first time! With a regap he probably could get a bit more out of them
