Re: My first hand gun
When I were but a lad the chap who lived upstairs gave me an air rifle to play war games with my friends. It was an under lever rifle with the tube that held the pellet removed from the front so I couldn't use it as intended. First game we played I pushed the lever forward using it as a rest, lay on the ground and waited for the enemy. When they came I pulled the trigger to wipe them out, the under lever shot back to its closed position and painfully trapped my fingers. I ran about a mile home with the rifle hanging of my hand to Mum.
