The marshal at Dover waved the bikes to board. Mine turned over briskly but wouldn't start. I'd never had a bike with a kill switch before. Much faffing with plug and wiggling of wires as all the bikes loaded and then the cars began rolling past. I told a pal to go ahead and I'd catch him up on a later ferry. As the cars loaded another pal going to the same rally with his bike on a trailer happened to be there. He came over and flicked my kill switch and much relieved away I went.
I reckon that I accidentally knocked it with all the faffing about with helmet, gloves, passport, boarding card, vouchers for the shop and resto, and setting the map in the tank bag window.
Pity they don't fit the kill switch in the starter solenoid/relay circuit then at least it wouldn't turn over at all which would avoid all the checking of the ignition wiring, plug and fuel.
