Our fuel's been E10 for ten years now. All the fiberglass tanks are rotted out, Chinese diaphram carbs for small engines are down to about $10 each because they sell millions of them here now; it's not a pretty picture.
Modern cars designed for E10 swallow it OK. "Non-leaded" fuel, which we went to in the 80s, was supposed to destroy the valves in older engines. It never did, and I've put a lot of hard miles on the old bikes with no valve trouble. But E10 is different ....
At no time in history have the people forcing other people into compliance been the good guys.
