Renault megane i had in 2005,it took about 1 hour to change an indicator lamp. Take off the front wheel, remove the inner wheel arch then get the cover off the rear of the light with your tiny childs hand, then fit the lamp but you cannot see the lampholder during the entire process. Last lamp i changed was on the Nissan and that took 10 minutes. Volvo is one year old now and not a single fault. Last Volvo was the same. No faults at all in 3 years. Some makers do things a little better but hard to know which one is better at it.
French seem to complicate things but Fiat can outdo them on most things.
Having said that, the longest lasting engines seem to be the Peugeot/Citroen diesels.
In the garage, the one make that rarely comes in for repairs is Honda. Especially the Jazz.
