My 2p worth, although I have the Him which is an adventure bike, to me it is just another bike I ride on the road.
Guess I don't do "adventure riding" as such, I just have different bikes that I ride on the road.
Having said that the Him is great for back lanes, I don't hesitate to take it along some pretty narrow lanes, unlike the H2 which is a no no, same with the Speedmaster.
Guess it's each to his own if you are serious about adventure riding then I guess you buy the appropriate bike - I mean you would not take an H2 up a mountain pass.
Just my idle thoughts.
