Still, a few years to go yet. I do agree with you regarding the way things have gone. We seem to be returning to a two tier, haves and have nots type world. This has happened in so many areas of life over the past twenty years. Its why green lanes got banned, too many big 4x4s unable to show restraint; as you've discovered, the wealthier types gatecrash long standing events with superb kit no-one else can compete with. I see it even in swimming where a certain type of swimmer has super expensive dry robes, brings alcohol and a portable fire pit to the lake whilst the rest of us grub around in our old towels! I can't see that it's doing us any of us any good but I suspect the publicity power of social media has driven it. I know of a fabulous running route in a gorgeous, historic place which I enjoy every fortnight, entirely alone apart from the owls and the other life I see. Were I to post pics I doubt I'd enjoy it alone for long.
Still, it is something we just have to cope with whilst our lord's and masters party away and we follow their rules. All animals are equal eh?!
