A bit off topic for those who get hissed about such things.

As folk will be aware I suffered a Health crisis at the start of December, including a few admissions to the Neurological Ward at the QEUH in Glasgow. The condition i have been diagnosed with will be with me for about 18-24 months but the Dr's are confident I will make a good recovery, so positive news there. I have had to surrender my licence so no bike riding this summer, but will have the shiniest pair of Triumphs available for when I do get the licence back.
The big change, and new beginning, is my Dr would not support a return to work (because I work in Firearms Op planning) so I have had to apply for ill health retirement. The decision from the Govt Pensions folk came back yesterday and my last day of service will be confirmed as end of June 22. 33yrs Service survived (relatively) unscathed.
Looking forward to my recovery and my new life ahead. Onwards and upwards
