When I was putting the bike away I noticed droplets of black oil all over the front of the engine, the only reason I can think of for this is that I did not replace the O rings that seal between the exhaust stubs and header pipes.
In previous years I have replaced these whenever I have taken the pipes off, did not bother this time as the O rings looked in good condition.
Ah well out with the white spirit today and clean all the oil droplets off, and then replace the O rings - I have about 20 of them "in stock" so no reason not to replace them - you stupid boy.
Anyone else ever done anything similar, like re use an old gasket only to find it leaks, and then regretted it?
Who needs a signature anyway......
