I have seen a few old Peugeots running chip shop oil and the run well. These are the cars made in the 1990s. Red gas oil heating oil will also run well in newer diesels but watch out if you get caught as your car will be off on a trailer.
There is a product being sold that turns the red diesel clear and i saw some a few weeks ago at my boys garage. He was seeing if it works and it certainly did on the heating oil he uses as a heater in his motorhome
