This weekend was my first race meeting of the year and it was at Pembrey race circuit in South Wales. My van has just had to have a new turbo fitted which really p....d me off as it's only done 83000 miles. Went to pick it up on the day before I was due to leave when the test run showed the van now has an oil leak from the area the work was done. As it was getting near bank holiday they wouldn't have time to fix it. Lucky for me the garage owner lent me his van a Fiat Ducato for the weekend. Big problem is my van is kitted out for my race weekends so I had to transfer so much stuff that I have to take from mine to his hoping I wouldn't forget anything. Next problem the stupid brain dead do gooders decided to block the oil terminals and stop the fuel tankers getting out. I already had my race fuel but I had a empty van and no fuel for my mains generator. I had to tour around a bit and managed to fill the van with diesel and get petrol. I new I could get down to Wales but could be a problem getting back. After a great weekend on the race bike with four fantastic rides I loaded up hoping I could find return fuel. Lucky the problem hadn't got to them and found diesel just five miles from the circuit so panic over. Not sure what these crettins are trying to do but the police must arrest and fine them and then a prison sentance if they attempt it again. We are just too bloody soft on these law breakers. Anyway rant over I had a great weekend and have just unloaded my loan van and hope to get mine back tomorrow. Next race meeting I'm at my all time favourite track Brands Hatch. At least is is a lot closer than my long journey this weekend.
