The bike wouldn't have moved from where you left it....
That's an absolutely atrocious waste of time & fuel. I knew of a local establishment where you didn't even take your bike in. You picked up your MoT from the proprietor's local pub. You just had to remind him to take his pad of pass certificates with him.
