Had my first long ride on my Suzuki SV100. Did around 150 miles and have to say how very impressed I am. At slow town speed it's a bit lumpy but just what you get with a V twin, but once on a open road wow what a lovely smooth ride. I can honestly say it is as smooth as both my inline four cyclinder bikes. Comfort and brakes are superb, although Horsham Dave the last owner did modify the riding postition by removing the standard clip on bars to upright which involved changing the top yoke. It has non standard silencers fitted which do give a nice throaty sound but not too noisy. My only criticism is once on the open road the big 1000cc engine feels like it just ticking over until you look at the speedometer and realise what you think is 70mph is in fact 85mph! Am I glad I bought it? Very much so and cant wait to get out on it again. I think my Yamaha XJR will be getting an easier time this summer. Thanks again Dave for letting me buy another beautifully prepared motorcycle from you.
