Hello All (especially Jimmy),

Part 1: I have two granddaughter's (20 and 21) leaving soon for a 10 day castle tour of Scotland. They will have some "free afternoons" in Glasgow, The Highlands and Edinburgh to sight see on their own. Any suggestions of things to do that aren't the normal "touristy" fare?

Part 2: This is their first time out of the country (first time to fly for one of them). They are excited but nervous about the trip. As a grandfather, I am concerned about their safety. Any parts of town to avoid? Scams to watch for? How safe is it to walk around? Etc.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
