>itinerary. They will leave the Highlands and en route to Edinburgh will stop at Blair Athol Distillery. The grandpa in me hopes the whisky is the only thing they don't like in Scotland. ha ha
Few other things your grand-daughters might want to be aware of:-
. Assuming they're on a coach, all the journeys are quite long; e.g. Loch Ness/Inverness to Blair Atholl is at least a couple of hours; if they partake of the distillery's products, the driver probably won't want to stop again 'til at least Perth, which is an hour away (and Edinburgh is another hour away).
. While Scotland is world-famous for whisky, less well-known is many distilleries are also damn' good at gin ... As the late Duke of Edinburgh said at least once, "Never pass the opportunity to use the toilet" ...
. If the itinerary is that way south, I'm guessing the journey north is from Glasgow up the west coast to somewhere like Fort William or Mallaig? While there'll be things to oooh and aaah at, currently a lot of the Highlands is just brown (and the lowlands are just green). So neck pillows and/or reading material are probably
. Aside, while that route south will take 'em through some of the most scenic bits of the Highlands and the National Park, sounds like they won't spend any time in it?
Hth.
