Not frightening a pillion is one of the No 1 considerations, certainly all those years ago when I took the other half on the bike, I just rode steady and smooth, and that will be the plan again.

I know what it is like to be a pillion and be scared shitless - you feel completely helpless if the rider ignores your requests to slow down.
