I didn't expect much, I've owned a few Enfield singles in the past so know their character. However this model seems to elevate the quality to an order of magnitude. The finish, controls are impressive. I was surprised at how it pulled away, certainly had some thump though it clearly isn't a sporting bike. As I was riding the bike I was trying to think of any reason why I shouldn't buy one.
So bit of a dilemma really. The Classic 350 was way better than I expected and certainly would do what I needed, very frugally at 100mpg and with a gentle pleasing ride. I still have an itch for a Guzzi V7 Stone so I'm exploring that on Monday, but I have to say The RE Classic 350 is a lot of bike for the money and a massive improvement over any other RE single I've ridden.
