I can empathise with that statement Andy but with F1 it is possible to make changes to the cars, the barriers and many other things to protect drivers and not impact too much on the sport whereas in motorcycle road racing there are few options other than restrict speed and if that happens then racing will quickly lose support and a lot of riders, and fans, interest. Whatever the answer is, I don't know but it has to come from the organisers and riders and not from us no matter how sad we feel about the current events. Otherwise a lot of people will eventually be denied the sport they love, just as the knee jerk reactions to Hungerford and Dunblane denied the shooting fraternity a vast section of theirs.
