The H2 has been playing up a lot this year, the oil pump, blocked pilot jets.

Its latest trick was to start running very erratically when out and about a few nights ago.

Started misisng like mad, popping / farting, managed to limp the last half a mile home on 1 and a bit cylinders.

Though it was probably the CID units giving up, or the rectifier that feeds the CDIs after all they are all over 40 years old.

After a lot of testing / double checking I found the HT windings on the coils were reading between 20 Mohms and intermittently infinity.

I even took the coils off and flashed each one direct to the battery - no spark, so the coils have given up he ghost after only 45 years or so of service

It begs the question why have all 3 coils given up at the same time, the only thing I did over winter was to fit a set of iridium plugs so in some way that has caused the coils to fail.

Just need to source a new set of coils - and not NOS that's for sure.
