We all wish we could turn the clocks back but those times are memories and today is real so we have to deal with it. I have no problem with the Government spending money to assist those in real need or the sick or disadvantaged. What pi***s me off are the handouts to the layabouts and tat who won't work or spend the money on non essentials to satisfy their way of life. Also the implication that only people in categories A to D need the £150.00 rate rebate. There are a lot of people who purchased houses many years ago, now in retirement, whose houses fall into E and above just because the passing of time. Some of them need the help but are excluded. Payments should be made on need not on the basis of assumptions. Rant over. Den
