Had a classic moment yesterday.

Driving along a side road that tees onto a main road. There was a car stopped about 15 feet away from the white lines – no indication of why it was stopped there.

I gave the driver a blast, only to be given “the finger” from the driver. I gave them a blast because I had no idea they were stopped, if I drove past I would risk being hit if a car turned into the side road from the main road, if I attempted to pass what would happen off they decided to pull away?

They were braking a fundamental highway code recommendation - not sure it is a rule any more not to stop on or near a junction to be a hazard to other road users.

Anyway I found being “given the finger” objectionable, so I got out and walked calmly up to the drivers window only to be told to “Fu*k off” before I even said anything.

The driver was a girl, probably in her 20s – not on her phone but doing her makeup FFS.

I did ask if she realised why I was pissed off and if she had actually passsed her test and read the highway code.

The response to this was more F offs, she then produced her phone and announced she was now recording it, my response was that I don’t actually give a F and as far as I am concerned she could stick her phone where the sun does not shine.

Marched back to my car and as I drove around her she just continued doing her makeup with one hand and waving her phone about in the other completely oblivious to the hazard she was causing – don’t know what the people behind must have thought.

She clearly puts her makeup before anything else……
