I do not have a problem with the use of this kind of footage, but what I have seen in numerous clips like these is that the camera's are usually cheap and unfortunately do not give a true perspective of distance. The bike one is a classic case in point.
Dilution of road policing? Just how many police officers and cars would you need to stop all of the bad driving? Earlier this week I went 12 miles to get an exhaust repair on my wifes car. I must have seen 20 or 30 such events in that distance. Now extrapolate that to cover the country at all hours of the day and try to imagine the scale of police presence that would be required. The sheer volume of traffic and thus the offenders necessitates another approach to the traditional use of what we used to call "speed cops." Any ideas anybody?
Other opinions may be available but this one is always correct.
