Dave, Geoff you completely missed the point of my message. I am well aware of Chinese produces electronics and batteries etc, however, the majority of those products are made to satisfy the quality standards of the named manufacturer, Apple, Nikon etc etc. I have sourced parts from China during my career and you usually have to go through three or four samples to get the standard correct. Unless you do that they will send you Chinese junk. Let's remember that Triumph have factories in Thailand, but they manage them using British managers and quality standards.

The Benelli is owned by a Chinese company and so there is no outside customer to check quality and ensure that the Cinese get it right. This is very evident with their paint and plating finishes. I recently looked closely at a 15 month old Benelli and frankly it had more rust on it than the Titanic. When the owner took it back to the dealer they would do nothing about it as they had walked away from the product.
