For some reason, a lot of people seem to think that these car-cylinder pumps that work off of cylinder compression are actually pumping an explosive fuel-air mixture out of their hose into a tire or mattress.
They're not, never have, unless they're broken. The cylinder compression, containing the fuel, only works a little diaphragm that actually pumps the air. The fuel stays in the cylinder ....
