At a gathering of my daughters in-laws, just after one of our trips, I heard someone ask my daughter why we did such things at our age. "They're my parents, that's what they do" was her response.
On another occasion at a bike thing one of our lady riding friends was asked a similar question. "Because they can" was her tart reply in a way that inferred the asker was a knob!
