It is correct that there has been higher/lower levels of carbon in the atmosphere over geological timescales. I think the main concern is that those changes were over tens of thousands or even millions of years, but now the rate of change is over decades, and is increasing.

I don't think just changing to EV's etc. is going to make any significant difference rapidly.
