A builders van decided to drive too far over on my side of the road and wipe out the door mirror on my van. Ordered a new one that arrived today. Pop off plastic frame work around door mirror to get access to the four fixing bolts that hold the mirror on. Oh what fun all four are security screw head bolts. Why?? Lucky I have the right one to get them undone. All good so far and manage to get mirror off. Now to find the connector to plug in new mirror. Oh bum it seemed like the designers decided it would be a good idea to bury it behind the lower door panel. So I now have to strip out main door panel speaker compartment. Just finished what should have been a nice straight forward 30 minute job that has taken two and a half hours. Why cant someone use a bit of common sense when putting togther vehicles and making changing of parts that may have to get changed easy. Oh well at least I have earnt a beer today.
