Last year, i took out Tesco insurance and declared just a false knee and aneurysm was around 150 pounds for 2 weeks for 2 of us. Last time i visited the consultant for Parkinsons, i explained how insuring was near impossible and he has put on file i have tremors. He told me Parkinsons can only be diagnosed by a brain scan so dont have one ! .No tablets needed yet and i can still carry out some of the tests they do for finger coordination. Most of the P symptoms are not noticed during the day until i rest. Then the hand shaking starts.
To go on this holiday i will just have to have fake cover and not able to claim at all. Its a big risk if i did get ill or have an accident but i can afford to get myself flown back. No more long distance cruises after this. Europe only.
Last year, there was a Welsh couple on board. Woman was 94 and walking and the man was 92 with heart disease and she pushed his wheelchair. Now that must have been expensive cover. Cruises are very worried about covid still and last June, the ship did have a few cases despite all boarding having a clear test 2 days before boarding. They were locked in cabins for 10 days.
I might look into a broker in Exmouth this week for a quote and maybe they can insure for selected problems and exclude some i have.
