CHANGES TO OUR LEGAL ENTITY

I am writing to you as a customer of Peter James Insurance who act as your appointed insurance broker.

We are in the process of making some changes to our corporate structure. You currently deal with Peter James Insurance which is a trading style of Peter D James Ltd.
As a result of the changes that we are making, you will continue to deal with Peter James Insurance but Peter James Insurance will become a trading style of Stewart Miller McCulloch & Co (Insurance Brokers) Ltd. Stewart Miller McCulloch & Co (Insurance Brokers) Ltd are registered in England under Company Number 01469545, at registered address 768 Hagley Road West, Oldbury, West Midlands B68 0PJ. Stewart Miller McCulloch & Co (Insurance Brokers) Ltd are regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, reference number 310218.
Stewart Miller McCulloch & Co (Insurance Brokers) Ltd is owned by the same parent company as Peter D James Ltd, therefore these changes are only an internal restructure.
We will be making these changes on the 1 February 2023 and the changes will happen automatically. You don’t need to take any action and there will be no changes to the products or services that we arrange for you or the way in which you deal with us. The only changes that you will see will be reference to Stewart Miller McCulloch & Co (Insurance Brokers) Ltd on some of the documents that we send to you. We are making these changes to simplify our corporate structure as it will help us continue to deliver high quality products and services to our customers.

1) What action do I need to take?

You do not need to take any action. These changes will happen automatically on the 1st February 2023 and will not have any impact on you.

2) Do these changes mean that I will be dealing with a different company or people?

No. You will continue to deal with the same company and the same people.

3) Will I be dealing with a different office as a result of these changes?

No. You will continue to deal with the office that you have always dealt with. There will be no change to our contact information.

4) Do these changes affect the insurance products that I have?

The changes that we are making do not have any impact or mean any changes to the insurance products and services that you currently have.

5) Do these changes impact on the way in which you are regulated?

No, Stewart Miller McCulloch & Co (Insurance Brokers) Ltd are also authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.

6) Why are you making these changes?

We are making these changes to simplify our corporate structure as it will help us continue to deliver high quality products and services to our customers.

7) I pay my premiums by direct debit using your premium finance provider. Do I need to do anything?

Your payments will continue as they are. There is no need for you to take any action.
