The Bantams were very slow as used by Telegram boys and they were restricted on speed. Many school leavers wanted the job to get a motorbike to ride on all day. There was a row of them outside the old Post office parked in Bicton street. Back wheel to the curb due to the hill.
Next bad bike was anything with a Villiers 2t engine. We used to hold on to the back of the bikes and they could not pull away. Lots of smoke, sounded good, but not much go.
