OK so where in the good old USA is the seller? Can you not get one of our USA contingent to purchase them and simply post them to you?

The use of the Ebay "Global Shipping Program" ( don't you just hate American spelling) is not obligatory. The seller can opt to make their own delivery arrangements with their own choice of carrier or postal service, so if the EGP is in place then it is due to the seller making that choice rather than Ebay imposing it.

I always delete that option and then select my own carrier even for international deliveries.
