I bought a new "normal" seat for the BMW from Poland on ebay. I ws charged 29% VAT by HMRC (It was VAT free leaving Poland) and £11 admin by Fedex. So, you may think Fedex are expensive, but I hear others charge more and you may not like VAT but you are paying it on everything else so why should ebay purchases be exempt.

Seller was great, price was good, its just BMW I'd grump about.


... BMW sell the F750GS with the option of a low seat or low suspension and a low seat. Now I'm a short-arse, so wanted a lowered bike ideally the low suspension otion but to keep knee bend sensible a normal seat. That'll be £350 for a second seat sir. So I got the low + low cheaper option which is great, but a bit too low. Now I have a replacement knee I wanted the normal seat. It was £162 brand new from Poland and fits perfectly.

I just wish BMW had let customers choose suspension height and seat independentlt of each other rather than bundle options and try to sell duplicate seats
