I say this because depite it being only around 8 degrees today and raining I did a 40 miler on the Him this afternoon.
Felt fine, just a little cold, bike is filthy.
I then spent another hour out in the cold, damp garage finishing off fettling the DT 400 Kick start - it had worn a little over the years so the pedal no longer stuck out at right angles to the shaft making it easy for your foot to slip off when kicking.
My solution involved 2 pieces of round silver steel filed into a wedge shape, with a short spigot on each.
Then drilled a blind hole in both kickstart parts, put the spigots in and bonded the silver steel parts in place - after hardening them.
At least the kickstart is now in the right position but for how long..........
Time for tea and a glass or two of wine
Who needs a signature anyway......
