The village I grew up in was right out in the sticks, every week we used to get the "Bread Man",the Butcher and every other week the "oilman" come around in their vans.

And in the summer the Ice Cream man - that was our Thursday treat.

The "oilman" was a mobile hardware shop his main purpose was to sell parafin to people.

All gone now of course.
