Yes I seem to remember us both with black motorcycle boots and sea fairers socks over the outside, in fact I still have a pair someplace.

Then there was the white spotted red kerchief I used to wrap around my mouth to keep out the wind, aparrently the white on red signified Somerset, whilst the boys in Dorset had blue kerchiefs with white spots.

Still have the kerchief and still wear it from time to time.

No longer have my cutoff, I ended up chucking it on the bonfire one Nov 5th, having decided it was time to "move on" - the badges would probably be worth a bit now
