Today i finished installing a 12 meter gutter along the rear edge of the roof. Then cut in a water catcher normally used for water butt use, into the downpipe.
Add 12 meters of 40mm plastic pipe which is the feed to a 1000 litre caged plastic container which also needed a pipe to send excess water back out of the building hence the long water pipe. The tank sits on a very strong table with solid 4 inch thick legs as the water weighs 1 ton when filled.
The garage now has all the free water it needs from the sky. Cost around 200 pounds for all the gear including plastic fascia board. I would think a few of the other garages in this road might look into this idea as the water bill will drop massively.
Two of the boys and a Grandson in Today changing a radiator on an Abarth 500 Fiat. You have to remove all the front including headlights so took them 4 hours. Weekends are for fixing the family cars
