On all of these bikes just a little playing with jetting / needle positions gets good results.
The ones I had on the KH400 are the exception.
For weeks / months I have been trying to get the bike to run sensibly, but all I had was plenty of top end and hardly anything at the lower end.
Great if you want to everywhere at 6000 RPM or more, and very poor fuel consumption.
Out of frustration I put the stock pipes back on it, instant transformation, a real pleasure to ride.
Looking at the expansions and doing some research, it looks like these pipes are designed for top end only at the expense of anything lower down.
Did not pay a great deal for the chambers, so nothing lost, probably stick em on E-Bay along with a statement that says if you buy them expect to loose your bottom end.
All now looking good for some summer miles on the KH ding ding ding ding.........
Who needs a signature anyway......
