I have clocked up just under 550 miles "testing" it, in the last 100 of those I have decided that it is probably now as good as it will get - carburation still not quite there, but to be honest I need a break from fiddling with it.
Did a 40 miler on it on Friday afternoon in the sunshine and it seemed to be OK.
TBH I think it is now or never, so if, and only if the weather is good I will take it, if it looks like rain it will be the Him.
Breaking down is one thing, but in the pouring rain, no thanks.
Jerry - at a measley 30 or perhaps 35 MPG yes, I will be keeping an eye on mileage and fuel stations. There is one about 3 miles from the meeting place so plan is to brim the tank in that station, that should get me to Fort Nothe and about half way back, so probably re brim as near to Fort Nothe as possible.
Fingers crossed......
Who needs a signature anyway......
