I've an old bottle of Simoniz Liquid Diamond Pre Cleaner that's served me particularly well for cleaning chrome before applying beeswax to preserve it (the chrome). Getting near the bottom of the bottle, I've discovered there's actually quite a bit of solids that've settled there (I obviously haven't shaken the bottle well enough over the years). I've moved the solids with the end of the screwdriver but vigorous shaking with the remaining liquid has made the mixture very thick.
Adding a bit more liquid will eke out the remainder even longer but, as the bottle pre-dates lengthy safety elf descriptions, anyone like to even hazard a guess what "Petroleum distillates" might actually be (it's a plastic bottle so I haven't tried a drop of modern unleaded )?
Regards,
