Re: As we get older we forgive
As Jerry says, it's only a bit of fun and quite a good picture as well. I remember back in the day about seven of us plus a couple of pillions were riding through the back lanes of Maldon in Essex when we came across a lad sitting on the grass bank looking a little forlorn. He had a puncture but no tools to change to the spare wheel his scooter carried. Most of us sat chatting with him whilst two or three lifted the scooter and changed the wheel for him. Before he went on his way he said "I heard you coming long before you turned the bend and my heart sank when I saw you because I thought you would kick seven bells out of me". No one had even considered that, he was just another two wheel enthusiast just like us. Where did all the hate come from. Probably the papers. We know there were incidents but if you look at the numbers they were definitely small in number. When I was at the ACE on it's re-opening some of the stories from the old boys were clearly stretching their imagination to the limit. Den
