Mine started after my 1979 accident. By 1996 it had become a lot worse but now it is every joint except my fingers which have done well to avoid it.
What can hold it back a bit is folic acid and cider vinegar tablets every day. Those two slow it down a bit. Last resort now is to block the pain so taking Tramadol and Gabapentine for about 15 years. These tablets are usually for post op pain after bone surgery. They are very strong but they are now losing the battle.
What i will not do is get into an electric buggy. I use walking sticks a bit on holidays as i need to walk a lot further than my normal UK day.
I have multiple strapping systems for knees,ankles and back but use them when desparate
