Thursday evening I went a run on the Hinckley Bonnie along one of my long term favourite roads around 50 miles loop in total. The weather was fine, the roads were relatively clear, but I just couldn't settle into it, and even made a couple of elementary mistakes going into a few tight corners resulting in a bit of harsh braking. I got home and wondered what had just happened as that run is my 'go to' for a bit of stress relief.
Today I gave it another shot, and the difference was night and day (literally as well as metaphorically). All my lines were right, the road was great and once back home, I felt great. I even managed to avoid the expected showers
