Yes, Nigel, and Interceptor MK2 has always been a thing I've fancied.

I'm afraid I've had the opposite experience with Boxers - made of granite and I've had loads.

I think the main issue is that it's so nice riding the V Strom that a classic seems a bit pointless - at least once I've finished making it as perfect as I like it. So, fettling is the way ahead really - riding classics isn't very appealing just now
