Tried a little experiment this afternoon.

The Him has finally had it's new rear tyre fitted, so I inflated them to the pressures recommended by Avon, which I think is about 8lbs more than what the Him handbook says.

Took it over the dodgey roads this afternoon, very little wandering, in fact it felt pretty steady.

So is it down to the pressures or the new rear tyre?

Suppose I could try reducing the pressures again, but given that it is vastly improved probably best left as is.
