If i were to buy another modern bike, i would also buy the Triumph 1200 twin. However, the 1700 twin is very good and about the same power having over 90 bhp.
As Michael is very right though, age does weaken you a lot. I have trouble getting the old bikes on the centre stand where it used to be very easy. That is why i have large front wheel chocks to push the bike into and keep it upright.
