Mine had the adjustable damping / rebound or whatever it was, just click the dial around a notch and you have either more or less.

Fiddling with the settings made the ride so much more comfortable when riding over all the holes in the roads .

Also had them on my old Speedmaster - got them 2nd hand, what a difference they made.
